May 17: Flower Power with Mary Lou Weidman
This class is based on Mary Lou’s new book, “Flower Power.” These blocks are pieced in Mary Lou’s famous “hoochy style” and can be made into wall hangings or quilts. You also can add buttons for centers or other “fun things in the garden.” You really can let your creativity go wild with this workshop.
July 19: Fabulous Fusible Flowers with Melinda Bula
This class will teach the basics for building a Fusible Flower quilt. Students will work from the same flower pattern and will learn how to make the flower look real. Students also will learn how to use the fusible and lay out their designs. Melinda encourages creativity, but will assist those who may feel timid about color or design. All skill levels can master the flowers—most students should get 80 percent of their flowers done in class. Renegade Thread Play is also covered and demonstrated in class.
